
After velvet and silk, linen is my favorite fiber. This season linen is chicest than it has been ever before. It’s derived from the flax plant, so it’s a natural, sustainable material, and ethically produced. Super quick to dry and cool to the skin, linen remained the most important fiber of the Mediterranean and Near East. Ancient Egyptians used it for everything from clothing to pharaonic vestments, bedding, furnishings, and a wide variety of sacks and bags as well as the burial wrappings.
