A colorful, vibrant city— this gem combines well-preserved colonial architecture with plenty of cultural charm. The Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the symbol of the city are its Palenquera fruit sellers, who skillfully balance bowls of tropical fruits on their heads. Furthermore, Cartagena’s Caribbean beaches cater for even the most discerning sunseekers.

Colombia might sound intimidating for many, but Cartagena is not the reality of Colombia. This gorgeous walled city has turned into a traveler’s hotspot for a good reason.

The Ecuadorian capital city located in the middle of the world, standing proud between cloud-high in the Andes and two active volcanoes, Quito didn’t disappoint me. The 16th-century Centro Histórico (Old Town) is not only the largest and best-preserved colonial center in Latin America, but also the most visited.

If you visit the Greek island, Crete– a day trip to Rethymno (or Rethymnon) is a must. It’s one of the best preserved medieval towns in Greece and was once a bastion of the Venetians who left a mighty legacy– the large Fortezza (fortress).

The town was also ruled by Turks for a time so you’ll find a scattering of Ottoman mosques, a Hamam peeping from behind 16th century buildings.

You can choose visiting Rethymno for a relax day on the nearby beaches, or explore the historic center and enjoy the hidden cafes in cute cobblestone streets.

For the FW21 runaway shows designers presented different styles, cuts, colors, and lengths of effortlessly chic wide-leg pants. From really relaxed silhouettes and long hemlines, you can pair the different pieces even with a simple white top and still look stylish.

The craft tradition of the Slovak textile industry goes back to the first clothing factory, which was founded on the European mainland in Prostejov, the hometown of Jan Nehera, in 1868.

THE FRAGRANCE FOUNDATION – DUFTSTARS 2021

September is when we slowly start to say goodbye to summer days and welcome the beautiful golden season of fall. When everyone is going back to school and work, for me this month starts with a lot of work appointments, events, new projects and new travel destinations. On September 2nd, The Fragrance Foundation Austria honoured me to be one of the expert jury members of this year’s DUFTSTARS 2021.

Outstanding perfume creations were awarded at the DUFTSTARS Gala 2021, with the highest award in the perfume and cosmetics industry.
