During the past few years, I have been very conscious about the food choices and overall self-care. Eating clean, plant based meals, committing to a 16-hour food break from the last meal of the day to breakfast next morning. Also incorporating workouts, at least 5 days a week— are the essential commitments for a healthy lifestyle.Continue Reading…
Few years ago I’ve started the “Food” category on my blog, but unfortunately I couldn’t keep up posting recipes frequently. Since the pandemic has started, I am back to the kitchen for cooking, baking and writing new recipes.
There are so many reasons why I love cooking, but one of the main reasons is that I love incorporating fresh ingredients into meals that makes them healthier than having processed food. I find cooking as a very relaxing activity to practice. Hunting for the ingredients, preparing them and putting them together to make something delicious, puts me in a much relaxed and happy mood than sitting on the couch and watching Netflix.
For the first #QuarantineRecipe I’ve created is this delicious easy vegan brown rice noodle bowl. A perfect dish for spring, which is nourishing, packed with lot of vitamins, spicy, gluten-free and super easy to make. Served with vegetables, brown rice noodles and crispy tofu.Continue Reading…

New York is not a city, it’s a world! As it’s often referred to as “the Capital of the World”, it is the most culturally diverse cities in the world and no city on the planet possesses as wide a variety of world cuisine as New York City. Experiencing new restaurants, local recommendations, hotspots, meeting people for lunch or Sunday brunch, are few of my favorite things to do when I am in NYC.
From fancy dinner restaurants, to delicious fastfood takeaways, great brunch restaurants or dessert paradise, as well as hype places to take Insta-worthy pictures, here is a XXL list of my favorites. Take your time and scroll down: Continue Reading…
It’s that time of the year again… mid May and my birthday! I didn’t want to plan anything for my birthday this year. I had a great trip to Amalfi and South Tyrol, now I am planing my trip to Bali end of this month – so it’s more than enough for me. But birthday’s aren’t just for you. They’re for your friends! It’s their chance to let their hair down, throw on something sparkly and dance the night away… with no guilt, because after all… they’re doing it for your birthday! 🙂 This year, I gathered my family and closest friends for a pre-birthday brunch on Sunday and today I will celebrate my after-birthday with champagne and cake with my close friends.
It’s fresh, healthy, easy and super quick. This is quite simply the most delicious salad you’ll try all summer for a lazy lunch at home or as a take-a-long to your office or to a summer garden party!
This salad reminds me my beautiful childhood and our long warm summer days. I grew up in Southeast Europe – Kosovo, and my hometown is approx. 2 hours away from the Adriatic Sea. So, you can imagine the humid continental climate with Mediterranean and oceanic influences that makes the central Balkan Peninsula a perfect region to cultivate this amazing fruit.
Inspired by the wealth and diversity of Mediterranean culture, the Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur is a splendid five-star boutique hotel with unique comfort of luxury and intimate atmosphere
Based on the latest post about Tiara Miramar Beach Hotel, I was also invited to visit Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur, another of the hotel’s sister properties. Its magnificent views over the blue sea and the intoxicating scents of its manicured gardens gave me the real well-being.
Probably Europe’s most romantic hotel, has been already secured first place in the ranking of the most romantic hotels in Europe in January 2011, also awarded from TripAdvisor when they Travellers Choice Awards 2012 under 25 best hotels in France. The Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur, is a boutique hotel with unique charm, nestled in the seaside town of Théoule-sur-Mer, it’s a haven of peace and tranquility.
Embraced by the vibrant blue colored Mediterranean sea and dominated by the Esterel range, the Théoule-sur-Mer region is a land of contrasts. Sea and mountains nestle naturally. For those headed toward Cannes, Théoule-sur-Mer is the first commune in the Alpes Maritimes. A former fishing port, the charming maritime enclave is now home to no fewer than 4 yachting harbors. Locals are highly attentive to the quality of life in this still relatively unknown corner of paradise thus assuring a prestige destination. In this unspoiled setting, delicate pine-wood scents surround The Hotel Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur.
The 5-star Hôtel Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur has 21 rooms and suites. All rooms are decorated in luxurious oriental chic decor and delightful touches. The Superior Rooms offer cosy and spacious surroundings. Every guest experience a wonderful scenery in Côte d’Azur flair of refinement and total relaxation. Every room has a wonderful sea overview and these are unforgettable picturesque views that will always stay on your mind.
Food and Drink
We were able to spend a day at the Hôtel Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur, to sunbath by the hotel’s infinity pool and to enjoy the 5-star “L’or Bleu Restaurant“. This restaurant is a true celebration of the Mediterranean sea and sky, stunning tastes with unique ingredients. We had an unforgettable dining experience hosted by Chef Guillaume Anor.
With a spectacular bay view on the most glamorous terraces, the gourmet restaurant at Hotel Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur was an unforgettable night. For dinner I choose the starter “Shrimps in Cocktail Style, with fruit tartar, basil and spicy Guacamole”, companioned with the main dish “Loin of Lamb wrapped in Kadaif and baby purple artichokes” – my personal favorite, and cherry on the top the sweet note “Roasted apricot, rosemary flavored, crunchy tuile with apricots”. Everything was mind-blowing delicious and a wonderful dinner experience!
Beauty Center & Fitness
The Hotel Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur, ensures the well-being of the guests. The hotel’s beauty center is a perfect place to relax with a personalized selection of massages. With signature Sothys body care treatments sooth the spirit. You can choose from manicure, to waxing or a make-up session to complete your personal care. The fitness center faces the bay yet is shielded from the terrace overlooking the hotel pool.
Inspired by the beauty of the Orient, the Hôtel Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur is heaven of tranquility.
Best view ver the cobalt blue Mediterranean sea.
Not just the hotel’s location is quite spectacular, but it is the serenity that I found here and that was the greatest thing I experienced after coming from the big noisy city.
Located just below a garden of Eden, the hotel’s pool is the jewel in the crown of Hotel Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur surroundings.
Those who follow me on Instagram, have already seen this photo, but I can’t help it and show it again because this Tiara Burger and the mix-fruit-salad was beyond delicious. Oh, and this view tho!
This was our dinner table with a spectacular view over the sea and the Esterel foothills which are located between Saint-Raphaël and Mandelieu.
After dinner, we enjoyed the full moon and the wonderful view from the Hotel Tiara Yaktsa Côte d’Azur pool terrace.
Everything about my dinner outfit, I will show you in another post.
The midnight stunning view.
The moment I entered Hotel Tiara Yaktsa, I knew it’s a special place. Greeted by blue skies and yacht-dotted seas, there’s an earthy Moroccan theme in harmony of wood furniture and terracotta tiles. Impressed by its gorgeous gardens, the elegant restaurant, and staff who welcomed us like a family. Clearly, the “L’or Bleu Restaurant” was the best restaurant I have ever been before. The taste of the food and the visual setting of every dish was just spectacular. You should choose to spend your days and nights at Tiara Yaktsa , that will everyday take your breath away.

St. Patrick’s Day is near and it brings a green recipe to celebrate the spring. Well, if you haven’t tried matcha green tea yet, now is your chance!
It’s a great pleasure that I bring you today’s cookie post on a Tuesday. After receiving lots of positive feedback on my first “Matcha Green Tea Smoothie Bowl” recipe, though the new ‘Food’ category on the blog must continue. As you know, I mentioned on IG, I bought some matcha green tea powder from Ringana. I was super excited to use it on smoothies, chia pudding, and thought – why not to put it in a cookie?! I’m pretty excited how these cookies turned out. Not just for the pretty fun color, but the green tea notes, pair perfectly with the dark chocolate. Matcha is known for it’s antioxidant properties and is often linked to reduced stress in individuals (read more about the matcha green tea benefits here). There are so many ways to use this versatile and antioxidant-filled ingredient. These cookies will reduce the stress in your life. I mean seriously – dark vegan chocolate and all the antioxidants of matcha green tea, will defiantly take that kind of responsibility.
2 cups almond flour
1 tablespoon Ringana matcha green tea powder
1/4 tablespoon sea salt
1/4 tablespoon baking soda
3 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
2 tablespoon coconut nectar
1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 tablespoon maple syrup
1/4 cup vegan dark chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a blender or food processor, mix together almond flour, matcha green tea, salt and baking soda. Next mix in coconut oil, nectar, maple syrup and vanilla, until dough comes together. Use a cookie scoop to make 1 tablespoon-sized balls onto a lined baking sheet. Make indentions in the center of the balls with your thumb. To make nice dip for your chocolate, don’t press too hard. Place 3-4 chocolate chips into each divot. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes. Once cookies are done, use the back of a small spoon blend chocolate chips together. I patted down twice then swirled. Let cool on the baking sheet.
It’s healthy, vegan, easy and tastes like banana and mango ice cream. This green bowl will detox your body, energize and make you mindset for the spring
Yes, there is a new category on DisiCouture.com, namely a ‘food category’. Time to time I post homemade food on Instagram, and people kept asking me to share recipes. Finally here is my first heathy breakfast recipe, because last week I have started the Ringana 30 day Dtox challenge (see the Instagram photo), including Ringana pack Antiox, caps Dtox and Matcha Tea. Before telling you more about Ringana products, I will start this program sharing my favorite energizing Matcha Green Tea Smoothie Bowl for lean, clean and green energy, plus it’s like eating banana and mango ice cream for breakfast. It’s super nourishing, detoxing, naturally sweet and very refreshing.
There are lots of green smoothie recipes, but I always love to put extra power food in it, so Matcha Green Tea is my absolute favorite, that naturally fuels the body with an extra boost of pure energy.
My favorite Ringana Matcha Tea, is 100% organic Japanese tea beverage. A cancer-fighter, a fat-burner, and much more, matcha leaves other green teas far behind. One of the most unexpected benefits matcha drinkers experience is a boost of energy through the day. Already nearly calorie free, matcha is a great addition to a weight loss program by tackling the problem from both sides. It boosts metabolism and burns fat. One recent study even suggested that matcha may help burn calories by four times. At the same time, matcha does not put any stress on the body. It doesn’t raise blood pressure or heart rate, making it a safe alternative to questionable quick fixes or pharmaceuticals ridden with side effects.
Amongst its many benefits, matcha…
- Is packed with antioxidants including the powerful EGCg
- Boosts metabolism and burns calories
- Detoxifies effectively and naturally
- Calms and relaxes
- Enhances mood and aids in concentration
- Provides vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium
- Fights against viruses and bacteria
- Is rich in fiber
- Lowers cholesterol and blood sugar
- Does not raise insulin level
- two huge handfuls of spinach (sometimes kale)
- frozen bananas
- unsweetened almond milk
- some other type of fruit (berries/mango/pineapple)
- ground flaxseed and/or maca powder
- matcha powder
Among matcha, I add ground flaxseed that contains all sorts of healthy components, it owes its primary healthy reputation to three of them:
- Omega-3 essential fatty acids: “good” fats that have been shown to have heart-healthy effects. Each tablespoon of ground flaxseed contains about 1.8 grams of plant omega-3s.
- Lignans: which have both plant estrogen and antioxidant qualities. Flaxseed contains 75 to 800 times more lignans than other plant foods.
- Fiber: flaxseed contains both the soluble and insoluble types.
Also I add maca powder (optional) for:
- Regulating hormone balance
- Reducing stress
- Improving circulation
- Strong teeth and bones
- Enhancing mental focus and clarity
- Increasing energy
- Increasing stamina
- Hair growth
- Good skin
2 handfuls of spinach
2 frozen bananas
1/2 cup frozen mango
1/2 tablespoon ground flaxseed (optional)
1/2 teaspoon matcha powder
1/2 teaspoon maca powder (optional)
1/2 cup unsweetened (vanilla) almond milk
add your favorite toppings
In a food processor or high speed blender, blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy, adding more almond milk as needed. Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings! Et voilà enjoy your super healthy breakfast!
