There was a time when hats were the ultimate accessory for the wealthy, and there was a time when ladies wore hats everywhere in the public. In those times head dressing reflected social status, and were decorated with jewels, embroidery, feather accents, floral applications and tulle, which were worn on different kind of events. But in the 70’s the wide brimmed (-floppy) hats were associated with boho or hippie style. Later in the 80’s hats fell completely out of style, unless they were needed for sun protection and were totally uncool accessory to wear.
If there is any accessory I love eternally, hats are definitely one of them. As a collector of hats, I have been obsessing over wide-brim wool felt hats for a decade now. Depending what you wear, hats give you coolness and elegance, as well as they add more personality to each outfit. Some feel daunted to wear hats, but don’t be intimidated by this piece just because it has personality – it’s actually a great way to add more style to any low-key looks.
All of the elements from the eras of fashion, many designers have re-emerged the wide-brim hats today, amongst them Ariadne’s Couture Millinery creates the best couture hats for everyone’s taste. I found her on Instagram this year, and I knew immediately that it will click between us. She was so kind and made two wonderful couture summer hats, which I wore very often this summer. And now that we are in winter and following the F/W’18 color trend, I wanted to have a wide-brim felt hat in chocolate brown. So here I am presenting this masterpiece, which is definitely the best wide-brim felt hat that I ever had. Click here to buy Ariadne’s Couture Millinery unique hats.

Black is not a color, is a state of mind!
Never think about wearing to much of black. Why? Because it’s chic and sexy, makes you look thin, and you can wear it anywhere. You know those people who look back at their life, reliving memories and can’t help but think, “What the hell I was wearing?”. When it comes to black, you’re never going to have regrets — I can guarantee that.
It’s not easy in 30-degree weather to pull off a chic ensemble, and that’s why true fashion comes out in the coldest of temperatures because it’s really not that hard to pull off layering and different materials. Anything that comes in any other color will always look better in black, so why even bothering trying something else? 🙂 Continue Reading…
