CASA DEL ALABADO: MUSEUM OF PRE-COLUMBIAN ART

December 21, 2021

Monolith – Culture Valdivia 4000 B.C. – 1500 B.C.

A visit to Casa del Alabado Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, is a must for history and anthropology fans. Located in a wonderfully preserve building, this museum features sculpture, artefacts, jewellery pieces and more. I learned about Ecuador’s indigenous cultures and saw hundreds of archaeological objects belonging to the ancient societies that occupied the territory known today as Ecuador.

Scroll down for the virtual exhibition of one of my favorite pieces of Casa del Alabado Museum of Pre-Columbian Art:

A TRAVEL GUIDE TO REYKJAVÍK, ICELAND

September 16, 2021

Where to stay, eat, drink, shop and relax at hot springs in Iceland’s beautiful capital city

*NOTE: Unfortunately we are still in unusual times, and the COVID-19 regulations change rapidly. Please check here the latest information before making your journey to Iceland.

I already knew that September will start with a lot of work appointments, new projects and a travel destination that I have planned for the end of the month. But I would have never thought, that I would travel to Iceland on September 4th so spontaneously. My Icelandic friend and business partner, who lives in Vienna, asked me two days before the flight— if I can travel with her and her twins to Iceland for personal reasons. Without even thinking, I said “Yes, I will come and help you!”, and after a few minutes I realized “OMG, I am going to my dream island on Saturday, holy moly!”

Surely, I knew that this is not a typical work trip, nor a vacation—so I couldn’t plan too much. However, my friend was so kind to think about me and connect me with her Icelandic friends, who could give me tips on where to stay or where to go while I am in Reykjavik. So, the tips I am sharing with you here, are my personal as well as tips from the local insiders.

WHAT I READ IN JANUARY & FEBRUARY 2020

March 4, 2020

First of all, I want to apologize for being MIA in February. I dedicated my time and attention to my family and working on future projects, which requires stepping out of the comfort zone and making good choices with lot of focus on details. I know you’ve missed the ‘What To Read’ post the past two months, so today I want to share what I read in January and February.

While past two months were good months of reading with lot of new inspiring books, here are the five books I would suggest you to read now:

TRAVEL GUIDE: BEST THINGS TO DO IN VENICE, ITALY

January 21, 2020

Venice is one of my favorite cities in Italy, and one of the world’s most romantic cities (before Paris). Its stunning architecture, unique bridges, colorful streets, the gondolas floating across picturesque canals. Ah, I will never stop loving the ‘City of Water’ Venice.

Although Venice is a small city, there is still so much to see. Most of people plan just few days to stay, therefore I have created a short list of my favorite experiences in Venice.

WHAT TO READ: BEST BOOKS TO READ IN DECEMBER

December 14, 2019

Although December is the most wonderful time of the year, it’s also the most stressful time. You need to finish all of your tasks at work before the holidays, cold weather followed by short days, last minute holiday shopping, so taking literary breaks is a must.

Just in time for the holiday season, I want to share my top five favorite books to read this month:

MUSÉE RODIN IN PARIS

December 8, 2019

As you may have seen on my Instagram stories, last week I was in Paris with Julia for few days and we finally got the change to visit Musée Rodin.

Certainly museums such as the Louvre or the Musée d’Orsay are among the largest and most impressive museums in Paris. They are listed in every top 10 list of Parisian museums, but smaller Parisian museums deserve attention too, just like the impressive Rodin Museum.

WHAT TO READ: BEST BOOKS TO READ THIS SEASON

October 23, 2019

It’s that time of the year when I’d rather stay inside and have a cosy afternoon reading books, than going outside when it’s cold and raining. There is nothing better than cosying up with a warm blanket, a good book, nice scented candles, and a cup of tea – just as lovely as fall is. I am starting this season with my favorite picks for fall which inspired me, and I believe that you’ll also find something interesting on the book list I am sharing with you:

#PLASTICFREEPLANET: LET’S CARE TOGETHER

August 10, 2019

As much as I love to talk about fashion and cosmetic industry, there is nothing more I care about than our planet we live in. We need to protect the ocean that gives us the oxygen to breathe, that regulates the climate and brings us clean water to drink. There is ONLY one ocean that covers our planet we live in.

A 2014 study estimated that 8 million metric tons of plastic trash enter the sea from land every year. 90% of the plastic is not recycled and this creates a major problem. Why? Because plastics are synthetic chemicals that should not exist in our planet. Most plastics are not biodegradable (meaning the bacteria cannot break them down into harmless components the way it happens to the paper or wood). The worse happens when plastic ages; the sun’s light and heat break the plastic into smaller and smaller pieces. This tiny plastic confetti, along with larger pieces of floating plastic, creates a dangerous problem to our health and our planet .
