A perfect and sophisticated tropical minimalism: clean lines, wooden water villas and all white beach front pool area overlooking the 50-shades-of-blue Indian ocean. The ultimate dream honeymoon destination.
New week, new hotel review from the Maldives. Right after we checked out from Soneva Fushi, first we flew to Malé International Airpot (MLE) in order to take the seaplane transfer to COMO Maalifushi.
On our arrival to MLE, we were greeted by the friendly COMO Maalifushi staff with welcome drinks and snacks. While waiting at the relaxing COMO Maalifushi lounge for the seaplane transfer, a staff member took care of our check-in. After a spectacular 60-minute seaplane flight from Malé, we arrived to the resorts Jetty Arrival and the view over COMO Maalifushi was already surreal.
Mesmerizing beauty, laid-back luxury, rustic brilliance, superlative privacy and a slow life attitude: Soneva Fushi makes all your luxury eco-resort dreams come true.
Last week I’ve visited Maldives for the first time, and Soneva Fushi – made all my luxury eco-resort dreams come true. For me luxury means time, peace, emotion and freedom. Luxury is about feeling the sand on your feet surrounded by beauty and extreme tranquility, dine under the moonlight with the ocean breeze. Luxury is about connecting with nature and to reconnect with yourself. Swimming in clear turquoise water, and to eat organic fresh food. All these luxuries can be found at Soneva Fushi, where you can experience the real lush eco-resort in a rare tropical paradise hideaway.
The Yucatán Peninsula is more than a white-sand-beach exotic destination. This area has so much to offer, such as the unique and vibrant city Mérida. When I planned to visit Mexico, I definitely wanted to make a short trip to Mérida, which is the capital and largest city in Yucatan state in Mexico. Though it’s called “The White City” (named after its limestone buildings), Mérida has the kindest people, eye-catching colonial architecture, a unique heritage, charming museums, art galleries, great traditional Mexican food and many more.
One more adventure checked off my “Bucket List”. For me travelling rhymes with happiness and exploring new destinations makes my heart beat faster. That’s why my travel posts are special to me, because I love sharing my experience with you.
I am starting this year with a long waited travel blogpost that I’ve announced on Instagram in October, and I can’t believe how time has gone by so quickly. For a very long time I have dreamt of going to Mexico, stretching out on a white sandy beach, eating guacamole and tacos all day long. Indeed, it was the first time I have visited Mexico and now I am very excited to tell you everything about this trip.
The city that never sleeps, has definitely the best rooftop views. If you are planning to visit New York City and don’t know where to go for the best cocktails, appetizer and views. Here are my top favorite rooftop bars in NYC:
One of my favorite rooftop bar in NYC, has a beautiful open air rooftop space with outstanding views of Lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. Open seasonally, the lounge poolside with NYC skyline views and handcrafted cocktails from the rooftop bar, then you can cool off with a dip in plunge pool (open seasonally). Go for afternoon cocktails and bites, to enjoy the best view over the Brooklyn Bridge. Try the Poolside cocktail, with a delicious watermelon taste or my favorite Heatstroke cocktail. For food, I suggest the Black Bean Burger and Tuna Poke.
Probably the most exclusive rooftop bar in NYC, on the 65th floor of 30 Rock. Located on the west end of the 65th floor, adjacent to the Rainbow Room, Bar SixtyFive at Rainbow Room hast the highest outdoor terrace bar in New York City. In a very classy space, you can have curated cocktails, also wonderful Sunday brunch. Excellent food and desserts, as well as a award-winning brunch cocktails, is worth to experience it once. Last but not least, today I want to tell you everything about Bali and my personal favorite places where to stay, eat, shop as well as what to see and do in this beautiful tropical paradise. Some say this island is overrated, a paradise that has lost its way and getting dirtier every year. But really it has just devopleped transforming from a low-key hippie haven to a enormous soulful place, where you can stay smart but still find a barefoot vibe.
Whether you are looking for beautiful beaches, DJ’s or good cocktails, here I want to share my personal favorite beach clubs and the hottest addresses to chill and party the holiday hours in Bali. The best beach clubs cover the island from Uluwatu to Ubud, offering cool music, watersports, beautiful bamboo beach bars and sunset cocktail views. The best way to spend sunny or cloudy days are definitely lounging on a sun bed, cocktail in one hand, book in the other while listening to either the residential DJ or crashing waves. Whether you are spending your holidays in Seminyak, venturing down south, or have decided to go Island-hopping – here I have a list of Bali’s hottest beach clubs for you.
