The golden goddess – Turmeric has always been a staple of Ayurvedic remedies, Chinese medicine and Indian cuisine. This powerful powder has ant-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-aging benefits. If you know me, you’ve seen that I love turmeric, not only in my golden milk or meals, but also for my skin.
Neutrogena® was my first skincare brand I used as a teenager, that saved my skin from impurities and dehydration. They have a large product line with skincare products for all skin types and issues. Though for the first time they used the soothing powers of turmeric in the ‘Clear & Soothe’ range.
When the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) became more alarming over time, I found myself wondering how to work on my health and to strengthen my immune system.
I started to be more mindful about the food I ate, physical exercises, breathing and grounding exercises. But I came to realize that if I want to maintain a healthy body, there is a lot more to do. Despite everything I did to keep myself healthy, I was feeling constantly tired and moody. Then I started to bake the 100th gluten-free and vegan banana bread or cookies. Thus I would eat sometimes even in the evening, but they didn’t made my gut happy!
When Austria’s chancellor announced major restrictions in March, my friend Laura and I have taken the initiative to support the Viennese local businesses to get through the hard lockdown times. However, in the midst of pandemic we need to deal with injustice and continue fighting against the human virus: racism. Whether protesting, donating and signing petitions, there are also other ways to support the Black Lives Matter movement.
After weeks of overwhelming emotions, I am using my platforms like Instagram as well as my blog to raise awareness, and continue to fight against racism as well as police violence.
As the #BlackLivesMatter trend is slowly vanishing on social media, now it’s time for everyone to understand, that changes won’t happen overnight. Supporting a cause is not about one week of attending protests and sharing content. It’s about continuously spreading awareness against discrimination, fight for human rights, educate ourselves, and our children.
Fresh summer rolls are colorful, healthy and fun to make with any kind of ingredients which are easy to find or you already have at home. Served with delicious and creamy peanut butter or sweet chilli dipping sauce, these summer rolls are great for lunch, dinner or just as a snack in-between.
The rice paper rolls are gluten-free, vegan, and perfect for plant-based foodies. I tried making them for the first time, and it was pretty easy. I already had lot of veggies, noodles, and fruits at home, so I thought I will give it a try, but the secret to deliciousness are the dips.
Staying at home is never boring when you know how to spend your time wisely. Not only cooking, creating photography content, or painting gave me pleasure, but books felt like vacation during these strange times. These books aren’t to be confused with beach reads— although if the beaches will be open this summer, then you can read them at seaside while sunbathing.
These books are about love, life, family, psychology, loss, finding yourself and success.
During the past few years, I have been very conscious about the food choices and overall self-care. Eating clean, plant based meals, committing to a 16-hour food break from the last meal of the day to breakfast next morning. Also incorporating workouts, at least 5 days a week— are the essential commitments for a healthy lifestyle.
Following the last post, today I want to share a visual travel diary of South Beach, Miami. In the meantime, we can daydream and use my travel tips I posted few days ago about Miami to start planning that dreamy first post-pandemic vacation. Scroll down and enjoy the images:
