DC FASHION: THE HOLIDAY STYLE GUIDE

Still searching for a Holiday season look? Whether you want something elegant or ultra-glam like a statement piece, beautiful accessories or prefer velvet heels, Schustermann & Borenstein makes your dream come true and offers exactly what you’re looking for without maxing out your credit card. Just save a little extra cash for champagne!

Last time I showed you my three favorite fall outfits, but now it’s time for my favorite Holiday looks which I choose at Schustermann & Borenstein. This is a perfect season to add some glamorous and stylish pieces as well as accessories on your daily look.

Some of us have flexible working hours, but most of us work from 9 to 5. Than we’ve got a holiday party from 6 to whenever, which leaves you with one awkward hour in between. Well, most of the times we don’t think about going home to get ready, right? In fact, we don’t even think about bringing other clothes to work and change, because ain’t nobody got time for that!

I’ve outlined the plan for you: Whether you are going to the office in an outfit that’s versatile enough for both the desk and the dance floor or just straight from home to the party. Sure, a little black dress or Le Smoking suit is always on par for the party scene, but who says holiday dressing has to be so cut and dry? From a complete white look to floral jacqard pants, here I choose three ideas, how to switch up your festive looks and looking stylish this Holiday season.

FIRST LOOK

Channelling  my inner diva – In this outfit I felt like J.Lo’s “Jenny from the block” video. This look features some classic, office-friendly pieces, like a solid turtleneck pullover and a pair of Marlene Dietrich trousers and leopard print shoes. For the holiday party, I layered this look with a fur poncho and the all-white outfit adds an instant glamour and boom – you’re party-ready!

SECOND LOOK

The perfect ending to a perfect evening – Sure, this logic may be based on nothing more substantial than a fabric or a feeling, but we don’t necessarily need to rationalize our outside-the-box outfit ideas—or the lengths we will go to realize them. For the second look I choose this silk flower print suit, with a simple silk white shirt, and combined with deep red suede pumps and a light blue clutch. A perfect festive look!

THIRD LOOK

MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS – Remember the red gown that Judy Garland donned in the film isn’t just festive for its color hue?  This color has been long associated with power, but running alongside that is also a current of passion and love.

I was inspired by the movie and choose this glamorous red gown for an Christmas event, combined with a fur bolero and heels. Yes, every woman should have a red dress in her wardrobe!
