Happy Monday everyone! It’s already September – crazy how time flies and fashion week kicks off end of this week, so get ready for a sea of changes. I am so excited to be in New York for the fashion week and also to enjoy some quality time with my friends and relatives. Not just NYC, but I’ll be heading to Miami for few days as well, and I cannot wait to share the new adventures in upcoming weeks with you.
I’ve been obsessed with off-shoulder tops and dresses ever since I was a child. I remember the times of Beverly Hills 9020 serial and admiring Kelly’s and Brenda’s style, while I was just 7 y/o. The show’s soap-style drama was as amazing as its wardrobe — full of trendy, grungy, ridiculous fashions that every 1990’s teen coveted like crazy.
Welcome to my garden state of mind with today’s lush, colorful look for day and night. The ’90s was a time of high-top sneakers, velvet chokers, and loads of denim. While we wouldn’t like to revisit some of the trends (ahhh, the acid wash!), there’s plenty that we’re glad to see making a comeback this year and one of them are the floral print cami (slip) dresses.
I am not afraid to take risks when it comes to color and style – my clothes are a form of my creative self-expression. Pleats – a trend that has always been a must-have. Who does not own at least one pleated garment? Nowadays in every woman’s wardrobe, the pleated dress, skirt or top has become a timeless piece. Thanks to the early 90s and the genius designer Issey Miyake that, with his pleats line, gave us the practicality to throw dresses, jackets and suits in our suitcase, without having to iron them afterwards.
Hi, from sunny Vienna! I hope all of you are well and enjoying the strong rays of summer sun light and getting physically and mentally prepared for fall. I just got back home after a very relaxing weekend at Wörthersee, which is a lake in the southern Austrian state of Carinthia. A very popular bathing lake and a main tourist destination in summer, where all I did was swim, sun, read and relax. Continue Reading…
“A woman’s dress should be like a barbed-wire fence: serving its purpose without obstructing the view.” – Sophia Loren
I hope everyone’s week is off to a great start. For this post, I am wearing probably one of my favorite summer dresses ever, which is almost sold out everywhere, only few left here. I used to hate the color red when I was a child and a teenager, but apparently some tastes change and do get better as you get older and you grow out of habits, then you hit a plateau.
I am ready to celebrate la vie en rose this spring/summer. Three weeks ago, I wrote about spring trends, so pink – particularly of the fuchsia variety – flooded the catwalk at shows such as Celine, Valentino, Balenciaga etc. Whether you choose to layer lots of different hues over your separates, or color block by wearing coats over statement dresses, you won’t go wrong as long as it’s pink, pink, pink.
I choose to wear dark blue wide trousers to compliment fuchsia and pink pieces, but my favorite pink piece of this outfit are my new orchidee HÖGL shoes. The pearl accessory complements the feminine shape of elegant silk look and make them real eye-catchers.
Tweed is not just for coats or blazers, one of my favorite fabric looks fabulous in a dress too. Personally, I’m loving this spring season’s figure flattering dress for it’s chic ease wearability. It’s almost my favorite new little white dress, because it’s accessorized with big pearls.
Spring is officially upon us in Vienna! The temperatures are steadily warm, the sun is shining, which makes me really happy since the winter was a little rough this year. I love spring and there’s definitely something in the air, I hope you can feel it too!
