DC MONTHLY REPORT: April is a promise that May is bound to keep

Hi loves! I will start to write every end of the mont a short report about all interesting happenings. April started with great news. I came closer to me dream, since I have started to work for the FLAIR fashion magazine. Lately this quote was running on my mind: "love what you do and you will never work a day in your life," and this is so true.
The editorial work was always something that I wanted to do. There is a long way to go and to reach my goal, but since I have done this important step in my life, I believe that good things happen to those who work hard for it. Below you can see the picture where my name was published on the may 2012 issue of the FLAIR magazine and the cover of the magazine as well! :-)

Just a ordinary day in office!
It feels extra nice seeing my name on the list of editors of the FLAIR magazine!
This is how the cover of the May 2012 issue looks like.

Not just my new work keept me busy this month, I have met so many people from the fashion world, went to so many fashion events and had to study for my postgrauate studies as well. So hell yea, it was a very busy month!

“Red Carpet meets GlamRock” - Designer Award 2012

One of the highlights in April -  I went for the first time in my life GoKart racing with my friend, and it was too fast and furious! :-)

Now that the weather in Vienna keeps warming up, and in this weekend was 30 C like in the mid summer, my party mood is on and I would rather sleep max. 6 hrs and enjoy the long warm days! :-)

This the nicest frozen yoghurt in town "Kurt" , which is mostly my guilty pleasure after work!

It feels great that tomorrow is a official holiday, so tonight I am out with my friends! Have a happy May Day everyone!

Love,
Edisa (Disi)

My Travel Diary: One Day In Salzburg

A travel diary post, is something new on my blog. I decided to update photos and what I have seen during the whole day. Even though - I live in Vienna, I just can't travel around Austria so often. Last week, my friend and I thought – it’ll be nice to get out of the capital towns crowd, and travel to one of the most beautiful and romantic city (after Vienna) in Austria and enjoy the sunny Saturday there.

Salzburg (literally: "Salt Castle") is the fourth-largest city in Austria and the capital city of the federal state of Salzburg. Salzburg's "Old Town" (Altstadt) has internationally renowned baroque architecture and one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The city is noted for its Alpine setting, and this is also what makes this city so beautiful. You see high mountains and so many beautiful hills around the city.

Salzburg was near the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He was born at Wolfgangsee in St. Gilgen. In the mid-20th century, the city was the setting for parts of the American musical and film The Sound of Music. (See the pictures below)
The capital city of the State of Salzburg (Land Salzburg), the city has three universities and a large population of students.
We have visited the old town "Altstadt" and enjoyed the sunny day outside sitting in nice Cafe Bar's and had a great lunch at the M32 Restaurant. After the lunch we have visited the Museum of Modern Art, which was very interesting. I loved the view from the M32 Restaurant, where you can see the "old town" and fortress.  Take a look to the pictures below, and enjoy my journey! :-)

A sunny day on the fortress.

Amazing view of the old town.

This building is where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart lived. Mozart was born on January 27, 1756 and died on December 5, 1791 at the age of 35 (Source:Wikipedia). He was a popular talented composer in the 18Th Century. In Mozart's birthplace, you can find some of his musical instruments, his certificates, his photos from young Mozart to the adult Mozart, his portraits and many other interesting things about him. There is a Mozart Square where you can find everything about him. Mozarts Geburtshaus (birthplace) is at the same time his museum. There is a Mozart Cafe which is mostly visited by the tourists all over the world. If you would like to experience the Austrian cakes and coffee, feel free to have a rest in this cosy beautiful ambiance.

The pink building is the entrance to the MoM - Museum of Modern Art. From there we took the elivator to the top of the rocky hill and went to M32 Restaurant as well.

Salmon ravioli with fresh tomato and sweet paper sauce, so delicious.

Beautiful fountain at Residenzplatz and Residenzbrunnen in Salzburg.

Loved sitting outside in the city cafe's.

Typical old town tight streets.

Cute porcelain dolls.

There are so many little markets with hand made home decorations.

dirndl is a type of traditional dress worn in Austria, Germany – especially Bavaria –Liechtensteinand South Tyrol (Austria), based on the historical costume of Alpine peasants. Dresses that are loosely based on the dirndl are known as Landhausmode. I love the Salzburg dirndls. They are all so beautiful!

Stassny traditional clothes for children, was the most adorable boutique for children that I have ever seen before!

Christmas in Salzburg Shop with Christmas and Ester Decorations

Christmas in Salzburg is a two seasons shop, for the Easter and the Christmas seasons. It is a shop where you can buy gorgeous Easter and Christmas decorations in many creative ways. It is so difficult for me to describe them as no words are enough to explain how lovely and beautiful they are.

The Salzach River.

Love padlocks. <3

Beautiful view from the other part of the city.

Another coffee break at Cafe Bazar.

The Salzburger Dom (Cathedral).
